Pediatric Emergency Medicine Faculty Positions

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas invites applications for faculty positions in the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level. The Division offers a variety of clinical, academic, and administrative opportunities, for candidates at all stages of their careers.   The Medical Centers offer all of the resources needed to build well-balanced careers in teaching, research, and clinical service in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Current areas of academic focus include EMSC, transport, information technology, ultrasound, trauma, and toxicology.

The Emergency Center main campus is located in Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. 25 PEM faculty and fellows, supplemented by EM faculty, General Pediatric faculty and PNP’s, residents and students provide clinical services to 60,000 children each year who have emergency needs. The 55 bed main pediatric emergency facility includes state-of-the-art critical care suites, and other fully-monitored patient care areas. In separate urgent care facilities, an additional 45,000 children receive care for lower acuity illnesses. The Dallas campus ED is a Level 1 Trauma Center for Dallas County and provides emergency care for a wide variety of challenging and complex pediatric specialty patients from northern Texas and beyond. A newly-opened secondary campus, located in Plano, provides clinical services integrated with those of the Dallas campus. 

Candidates must be trained or certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.  Academic rank is commensurate with accomplishments. Compensation packages are highly competitive. Applications from minority and female candidates are encouraged.
