Associate Professor / Professor
The Department of Pediatrics is seeking an outstanding individual at the Associate Professor/Professor level to lead its Pediatric Critical Care Division at UT Southwestern Medical Center and Children’s Medical Center Dallas. This includes an expanding critical care service at a new children’s hospital (CMC Legacy) that will serve the communities north of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, opening the summer of 2008. This program will extend the reach of an integrated, technically advanced critical care service into the fastest growing pediatric population in North America. The candidate should have a proven record of academic success, as well as a commitment to excellence in patient care, teaching, and both basic and clinical research. The Division Director will have significant opportunities to recruit clinical and research faculty, and to advance clinical, training and research programs in collaboration with other centers of excellence in critical care and related disciplines at UT Southwestern. Applicants must be eligible for licensure in the state of Texas and be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Critical Care.
The Division of Pediatric Critical Care has a long-standing track record of excellence in clinical and translational research, with multiple lines of support from the NIH and other sources. The Division also has an internationally-recognized training program. The Division plays a vital role in providing expertise in pediatric critical care at CMC Dallas, which admits more than 15,000 inpatients yearly, and in the Parkland Memorial Hospital nurseries that care for more than 16,000 newborn infants yearly. Assistant/Associate Professor
The Department of Pediatrics is seeking individuals at the Assistant/Associate Professor level to join the Critical Care Division. Positions are currently available for clinicians, clinical scholars or physician scientists. The multidisciplinary PICU program currently has 14 full time and 2 part time faculty, 13 fellows & 67 PICU beds. Clinical research is facilitated by 3 research coordinators & bedside infomatics. The candidate should have a strong commitment to teaching. In addition, the candidate should be board qualified in pediatric critical care and eligible for licensure in Texas.

Assistant/Associate Professor
The Department of Pediatrics is seeking an individual at the Assistant/Associate Professor level to join the Critical Care or Cardiology Division. A position is currently available for a clinician, clinical scholar, or physician scientist who has special training in cardiac intensive care. The candidate should be board qualified in pediatric critical care and/or pediatric cardiology, and eligible for licensure in Texas.
The multidisciplinary PICU Program currently has 14 full time and 2 part time faculty, 13 fellows, and 67 PICU beds. Clinical research is facilitated by 1 research coordinator and bedside informatics. Cardiology staff includes 14 faculty and 4 fellows. The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit is a collaborative venture between Pediatric Critical Care, Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery. It accommodates the 400 cardiac surgeries performed yearly. There are also active programs in echocardiography, cardiac MRI, electrophysiology and cardiac catheterization.
