The Department of Radiology has and will continue to assist in research imaging logistics and planning as part of the academic mission of UT Southwestern.  The department offers professional assistance in both human and non-human imaging in a number of areas.

  • Development of the optimal type of imaging protocols  to answer your research  questions
  • Determine a plan for time and cost effective utilization of imaging devices, software, post-processing, data analysis and validity of resulting data for grants and projects
  • Provide quality assurance of more complicated research-related exams, involving the interaction of your research team with Radiology department personnel
  • Offer extensive qualitative and quantitative image interpretations and post-processing analysis

This form can be used as a worksheet to document and triage research inquiries from Principal Investigators external to the Department of Radiology after contacting the Department of Radiology. When this form is completed, it should be scanned and e-mailed to the appropriate radiologist/physicist/basic scientist by the end of the business day on which the inquiry was received.
