Samir Gupta discusses genetic screening, family history's role in colon cancer

Samir Gupta, M.D., Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine, was featured in two recent news reports on colon cancer screening. Dr. Gupta talked to UPI in March 2012 about lifesaving genetic screening developed at UT Southwestern that can help detect families who are at high risk of colon cancer. Also, in an April 2012 Health Checkup segment on KERA radio, Dr. Gupta discussed the role family history plays in colon cancer and the importance of colon cancer screenings.

CPRIT funds research on advanced radiotherapy for lung cancer

Some of the most advanced radiation therapy technologies available are about to be put to the test by UT Southwestern researchers. Their aim? To find the best role for less-invasive treatment options for lung cancer patients.
