The Department of Clinical Sciences and the UT Southwestern Clinical and Translational Alliance for Research (UT-STAR/CTSA) are seeking applications for participation in the 2012 KL2 Clinical Research Scholars Program. The program supports the research education and career development of individuals who are dedicated to a career in clinical/translational investigation.

Individuals selected as Clinical Research Scholars will enter an intensive, individualized, comprehensive educational, training, and career development program beginning in July and lasting a minimum of three years, which will prepare them for a career as an independent clinical investigator. Participants who successfully complete the program and meet program milestones will earn a Master of Science in Clinical Sciences with Distinction degree through the Southwestern Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.

The Selection Committee (headed by Ethan Halm, MD, MPH) will review all applications, interview those with particular promise and make the final selections. All applicants are subject to the approval of the NIH.
