Dr. de Lemos elected to ASCI membership

James de Lemos, M.D., Professor and Associate Director of the Cardiovascular Fellowship Program at UT Southwestern and Cardiology Service Chief at Parkland Memorial Hospital, will be inducted on April 24 to the American Society for Clinical Investigation (ASCI). Dr. de Lemos is Medical Director for the Dallas Heart Study, a resource of the Center for Translational Medicine that makes data and tissue samples available to researchers. The Study's goal is to identify biomarkers of early cardiovascular disease and study external factors that contribute to CVD. 

Two other UTSW faculty members, Lu Q. Le, M.D, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Dermatology, and Hesham A. Sadek, M.D, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine, were among the 75 physician-scientists who will be inducted this year into ASCI, one of the nation’s oldest and most prestigious medical honor societies.
