Summary

This is a multi-site semi-structured interview that will use a list of questions in questionnaire form as well as other follow-up questions that probe participants' overall impressions and interpretations of the items and response options. a digital voice recorder will be used to record the interview. This information will help in finalizing the questions to be included. a summary document of the interview and feedback will be made by study personnel and submitted along with questionnaire responses. The voice recording will be kept for 2 months for any needed clarifications and then destroyed.

Six different age specific questionnaires will be used for this study. each respondent will be required to complete only one questionnaire:
- adult form i x Discharge form
-adult form ii- Follow up form
-Pediatric Form i 14-17-Discharge Form (to be completed by pediatric burn survivor 14-17 years of age
-Pediatric Form i Parent Proxy 0-17- Discharge Form (to be completed by a parent or guardian of a pediatric burn survivor 0-17 years of age)
-Pediatric Form ii 13-17-Follow-up Form (to be completed by a pediatric burn survivor 13-17 years of age)
-Pediatric Form ii Parent Proxy 0-7- Follow-up Form (to be completed by a parent or guardian of a pediatric burn survivor 0-7 years of age)

Two adult, burn injury survivors will be recruited and consented from university Hospital Zale Lipshy to participate in the study. The proposed modification will add four subjects: two pediatric burn survivors and two parents or legal guardians of pediatric burn survivors. They will be recruited from university Hospital Zale Lipshy and Parkland Health and Hospital System. The subject will not be included in the study if they do not give verbal consent and/or assent to participate in the study

Participant Eligibility


* History of burn injury

* Give verbal consent/assent to participate in the study

* English speaking (Non-English speaking patients will not be used in the study to due to small sample size)
