Staged Flexor Tendon Reconstruction in the Pediatric Population
This is an observational research involving assessment conducted at a one study visit for the prospective review. The study involves the prospective and retrospective collection/review of data (diagnostic test results, imaging) in pediatric patients who underwent flexor tendon reconstructions between 1/1/1980 to 11/30/2012 at Children[Right Quote]s Medical Center.
A maximum number of 50 subjects will be recruited. Those who agree to participate will be consented. Data that are to be collected from the subject medical record include age, gender, handedness, comorbidities, operative reports, interval between injury and surgery, interval between first and second surgery wound healing assessment, range of motion, pain, grip strength, functional assessment scores and physical examination findings.
Subjects, in the prospective review, may elect to withdraw participation at their own discretion.
Subjects that were between the ages of 1 year to 18 years when flexor tendon reconstructions were conducted at Children[Single Quote]s Medical Center between 1/1/1980 to 11/30/2012 will be eligible to participate. Females who are pregnant will be included.
