Evaluation of System Enhancements for Magnetic Resonance Imaging Hardware and Software in a Clinical Setting
Summary
Healthy volunteers or patient volunteers will be imaged using MRI research acquisition schemes, coils, software, and/or hardware. Participation in this study consists of a single MRI scan +/- any of these optional procedures: 1) administration of a contrast agent(s), 2) breath holds, 3) pulse gating, 4) cardiac gating, 5) lower extremity exercise, 6) lower extremity blood pressure cuff(s) 7) torso studies with a rectal tube or endorectal coil. A total of 3000 subjects are estimated to be recruited into this study over 10 years. The data from these research acquisitions will be collected and assessed on a contiuous basis for image quality and diagnostic value. New MRI techniques/protocols for use on clinical patients will then be developed.
Participant Eligibility
Subjects of all races and ethnic origins over 18 years of age will be recruited.
