Summary

Patients with stage T1N1-2, T2-3N0 pathologically confirmed HER2 expressing adenocarcinoma of the esophagus will be randomized to one of two arms. Arm one will recieve Radiation (50.4 Gy), paclitaxel, carboplatin, and
trastuzumab followed by surgery 5-8 weeks after completion of radiation then followed by surgery 5-8 weeks after completion of radiation followed by maintenance trastuzumab, every 3 weeks for 13 treatments. Arm two will recieve radiation (50.4 Gy), paclitaxel, and carboplatin followed by surgery 5-8 weeks after completion of radiation.
