The University of Texas Southwestern Cardiology Clinical Research Database (CCRD) and Research Program
The CCRD will aid in the research of cardiovascular diseases by collecting, processing, and ultimately banking specimens and additional research information in a prospective format. This resource will provide access to specimens that researchers may otherwise not be able to obtain. Those data collected, including but not limited to contact information, demographics, medical history, study survey data, and results from future analysis will be utilized in a number of ways. after the initial encounter in the clinic environment, these data would be stored and utilize for the purposes of analysis, but also for use in future contact for follow-up purposes or to provide clinical research results at some point in the future.
