Summary

Caucasian women in three different age groups: 18-30, 32-48, 52+ with BMI range of 22-28 with the following cellulite status; for each age group, twelve (12) subjects who have grade 0-3 will be examined. A battery of assessments to the facial, abdomen and thigh cellulite and control skin specimens will be performed that include: physical exam (assessments), cellulite scoring, digital photography, biopsies and MRI. In addition, a single blood sample will be drawn to test hormone levels (estradiol, testosterone, progesterone).

Participant Eligibility

Patients satisfying the following criteria will be considered the screening population and will be eligible for participation in this study:
Female;

1. Caucasian women in three different age groups: 18-30, 32-48, 52+ with BMI range of 22-28.
2. Able to read, speak, and understand English.
3. Cellulite status; for each age group, twelve (12) subjects who have grade 0-3 cellulite. Cellulite assessment score: According to: Cellulite: a review. J.Eur. Acad. Of Dermatol. & Venereol. 2000; 14(4): 251-262.
4. Able to have 4 - 8 needle biopsies obtained from face, one needle biopsy and one 3 mm punch biopsy from the abdomen, and two 3 mm punch biopsies from the thigh
5. Non-smokers
