Nuclei Acid, Serum and Tissue Repository for the Study of Gastrointestinal Diseases.
Summary
Patients will undergo a SOC procedure for a medical condition. During that procedure certain tissues that are important to this study will be accessible by the physician and those tissues will be obtained for research purposes. For example, when a patient has their blood drawn for SOC laboratory tests, additional blood will be collected for research purposes.
Participant Eligibility
*Healthy volunteers, patients with GI disease, individuals with other diseases considered appropriate controls (e.g., patients undergoing screening procedures) will be eligible for enrollment in the study.
*All ages of subjects are eligible
*Male and Female subjects are eligible
*All races/ethnic backgrounds are eligible
*Relationship to pro-band will consists of grandparent, parent, sibling, aunt, uncle or child.
*Availability to follow-up/future contact is not necessary. However once subjects are enrolled, they will be asked whether they will be willing to keep updated contact information on file with the investigators.
*Ability to speak and read English or Spanish. Persons speaking other languages will be consented with the use of a professional translator.
*Ability to give informed consent is required by the subject or their legal guardian.
