AHOD04B1, Hodgkin Disease (HD) Banking Study
Summary
To collect tissue and peripheral blood samples of patients with Hodgkin disease for use to analyze biological factors and to deposit in a tissue bank. Blood samples will be collected from newly diagnosed patients prior to treatment, during week 1 of treatment, at the time restaging, at the end of treatment, the end of radiation therapy (if received), one year following treatment and at relapse/progression (if applicable). Blood will be drawn from previously treated patients when they return for follow-up visit. These samples will be obtained when other samples are obtained for standard care. Tumor tissue will be obtained from leftover tissue from surgery. These samples can be used for approved projects by laboratory-based investigators.
Participant Eligibility
Patients age < 22 years with newly diagnosed, untreated Hodgkin disease OR
Patients of any age eligible for enrollment on an ongoing COG study for relapse disease OR
Patients of any age with a past histologic diagnosis (including patients with relapse disease) who are
currently enrolled or have been previously enrolled on a COG or legacy HD study.
All patients and/or their parents or legal guardians must sign a written informed consent. All institutional, FDA, and NCI requirements for human studies must be met.
