Genetic Variation in a Multi-Ethnic Population

Summary

To develop a multi-ethnic DNA repository to identify genes that contribute to health and disease by collecting the following information for research. 1) Blood samples for extraction of DNA, storage of plasma and serum and measurements of a basic blood chemistry and other biomarkers. 2) Blood pressure measurements, 3) Height and weight measurements, 4) Demographic information, including contact information, social security number, age, gender, ethnicity and race, 5) Reports of hospitalizations, and 6) Answers to study health survey questions.

Participant Eligibility

African American and/or Hispanic male and female volunteers ≥ 18yrs old. Subjects must be able to speak and read English or Spanish and must be able to give informed written consent prior to participating.
