Acute effects of phosphate and calcium intake on calciprotein particle (CPP) profile in healthy individuals and patients with chronic kidney disease: a pilot study

all enrolled subjects will participate in 3 separate study periods of 3 days each in randomized order, with a 4-day interval between periods (washout). after 2 days of frozen metabolic diet, on the 3rd day of each phase of the study subjects will undergo an abbreviated [Quote]phosphate load[Quote], [Quote]calcium load[Quote] or combined [Quote]calcium-phosphate load[Quote] in the ambulatory setting of the Center for Mineral Metabolism and Clinical Research (CMMCR).
Healthy subjects (age >= 21 years, eGFR>90 ml/min/1.73 m2 calculated by CKD-EPI34, no microalbuminuria) of either gender or any ethnicity
Patients with CKD stage 3 (eGFR 30 to 60 ml/min/1.73 m2 calculated by CKD-EPI) of either gender or any ethnicity
