Parking Alert: Tower Garage

Parkland’s new Tower Garage at Medical District Drive and Tex Oak Drive will open to University Hospitals and Clinics patients and visitors on Monday, January 30.

The Tower Garage replaces the Lofland Garage and overhead walkway, scheduled for demolition due to the construction of the new Parkland Hospital.

Valet Parking

Valet parking is available for a nominal fee at the main entrance of University Hospital-Zale Lipshy. Validation is required to receive the patient rate.

  • Monday-Friday: 5 a.m -10 p.m.
  • Saturday: 5 a.m.-7 p.m.
  • Sunday: 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

Patient & Visitor Valet Parking Fee: $5 for daily access with patient validation.

Patient & Visitor Valet Parking Coupon Books: Five coupons for $20. May be purchased at the valet station.

Patients who valet park and then drive to another UT Southwestern facility that day may valet park at the second location for free by presenting their first valet ticket receipt.

Vendor Valet Parking Fee: $25 for single access.

Self-Parking

  • Rates for campus parking areas vary. Patients should note the location of their physician's office or diagnostic center in advance to determine the best parking option.
  • University Hospital-Zale Lipshy (ZL): Tower Garage (Medical District Drive at Tex Oak Drive). $6 flat rate payable by cash, check, or credit card at the cashier booth.

Shuttle Service
Once on campus, patients and visitors may ride UT Southwestern's free shuttle bus service to many of our buildings.

From I-35E, traveling south (from Lewisville/Irving)

  • Take exit 432A for Inwood Road/Southwestern Medical Center 
  • Stay on service road to Inwood Road 
  • Turn left at Inwood

From I-35E, traveling north (from Duncanville/Lancaster)

  • Take exit 432A for Inwood Road/Southwestern Medical Center
