Spasticity is a neuromuscular disorder that may be caused by injury or illness related to the central nervous system. Examples include ataxia, dystonia, Huntington’s disease, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson’s disease and stroke.

Patients with spasticity disorders and their family members play a major role in helping to achieve all of the benefits that rehabilitation has to offer. Please visit the Health Library to learn more about spasticity disorders treated at UT Southwestern Medical Center, including:
