Cancer :: Conditions and Illnesses

About Our Program | Conditions and Illnesses | Our Physicians | Patient Education Materials | Support Groups and Resources

According to the American Cancer Society, approximately 1.4 million people in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer in 2006. UT Southwestern combines our clinical and research expertise with state-of-the-art medical resources to offer the most effective treatments available.

After a comprehensive evaluation, our physicians and rehabilitation specialists will design an individual rehabilitation program based on each patient’s unique condition and medical history. Our caring and compassionate specialists will attentively listen to the patient’s concerns, carefully explain the rehabilitation program and describe the advantages of available treatments.

Cancer survivors and their family members play a major role in helping to achieve all of the benefits that rehabilitation has to offer.
