We can direct patients to a variety of informative and enriching support groups and other resources, which can be tailored to meet their specific needs.

At UT Southwestern, excellence in patient care includes helping point the way to resources patients may not be familiar with, but which have proved invaluable to others. We trust these services will assist patients as they move forward on the road to healing and improved health.

The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) is the leading national professional medical association dedicated to treating and improving the quality of life for children, adolescents, and families affected by psychiatric and behavioral disorders.

Anxiety Disorders Association of America
The Anxiety Disorders Association of America (ADAA) is the only national, nonprofit organization solely dedicated to informing the public, health-care professionals and legislators that anxiety disorders are real, serious and treatable. The ADAA promotes the early diagnosis, treatment and cure of anxiety disorders and is committed to improving the lives of the people who suffer from them.

Austism Society of America
The Autism Society of America (ASA) is the largest parent-based, autism organization in the U.S., with more than 100,000 members and supporters and 200 local chapters. 

Children and Adults With Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder
Children and Adults With Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD) is a support network for parents and caregivers, a forum for continuing education, a community resource, a promoter of ongoing research and an advocate on behalf of the AD/HD community.

Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance

National Mental Health Association
The National Mental Health Association (NMHA) is a national nonprofit organization with a century-old tradition that is dedicated to promoting mental health, preventing mental disorders and achieving victory over mental illness.

National Schizophrenia Foundation
The National Schizophrenia Foundation’s (NSF) mission is to develop and maintain support groups for individuals and their friends and family members affected by schizophrenia and related disorders, and to be a broad resource for all persons regarding schizophrenia and related disorders through education, information and public awareness services.
