UT Southwestern Medical Center physicians take complex medical information about pediatric orthopaedics and describe it to patients in easy-to-understand terms. In addition, we also offer pediatric patients and their families access to educational materials that will help them to learn more about orthopaedics and why they are candidates for the treatment prescribed.
Patient education can make a significant difference in how pediatric patients approach orthopaedic surgery. In addition to access to UT Southwestern’s health-care professionals, patients may consult other educational materials to better understand what to expect before, during and after treatment.
