Prosthodontics/Tooth Replacement :: About Our Program

About Our Program | Conditions and Illnesses | Our Physicians | Patient Education Materials | Support Groups and Resources

UT Southwestern Medical Center offers advanced procedures and technology for the restoration and replacement of teeth. Our skilled prosthodontists have extensive training and experience and are able to treat complex dental conditions with a variety of procedures and techniques, including dental crowns, bridges, porcelain veneers, complete and removable dentures and dental implants.

Our prosthodontists treat patients with missing teeth resulting from congenital or developmental tooth disorders, temporomandibular-jaw joint problems, worn down or severely neglected dentition, traumatic injuries and oral cancer reconstruction.

In addition, UT Southwestern offers maxillofacial prosthodontics, which corrects defects in the area of the head, face or jaw resulting from tumors, cancer surgery, traumatic injuries and birth defects. Prostheses, made from human tissue or artificial materials, include eyes, ears, noses and special devices to improve speech and swallowing.

The prosthodontists practicing at UT Soutwestern have the expertise and experience to restore optimum function and aesthetics to every patient’s smile.

Our dedication to providing expert and compassionate care makes an important difference in our patients’ treatment and changes their outlook on the future. UT Southwestern physicians show patients how they can achieve a renewed state of health they may have not thought possible.
