We wrote the book on health and pregnancy.

For more than 50 years, UT Southwestern obstetrics and gynecology faculty physicians have been acknowledged leaders in women's health. We train more new OB/Gyn physicians and subspecialists than any other program in the United States, and we have authored several of the most widely-used OB/Gyn textbooks in the nation. Most importantly, we consistently provide exceptional patient care.

The UT Southwestern Medical Center's Fertility and Advanced Reproductive Medicine program is devoted to providing state-of-the-art fertility diagnosis and treatment, including in vitro fertilization. Our team of specialists provides care to infertile couples as well as female patients with reproductive tract disorders affecting fertility.

The initial evaluation typically includes:

  • Blood tests to determine whether the woman is ovulating;
  • Evaluation of the ovaries, uterus and fallopian tubes; and,
  • Semen analysis to evaluate sperm number, motility and shape.

Following this evaluation, our specialists will recommend an individualized treatment program based on the patient’s condition and medical history as well as their goals and preferences. Due to the complexities of fertility issues, we offer a comprehensive range of evaluation and treatment options for our patients, including:
