Advanced reproductive medicine pertains to patients with reproductive disorders who may or may not want to become pregnant. Through advances in diagnostic techniques and treatments, UT Southwestern Medical Center's Fertility and Advanced Reproductive Medicine program provides comprehensive evaluation and care to its patients. Our program team treats a wide variety of reproductive disorders, including:
The program specialists use the Reproductive Endocrinology laboratory to take a patient's hormonal measurements, which assist in developing individualized treatment. Surgical alternatives can include robotic-assisted reproductive surgery, advanced laparoscopy or hysteroscopy. A laparoscopy or hysteroscopy may be performed as a out-patient procedure for the diagnosis or treatment of endometrial polyps, fibroids, endometriosis and ovarian cysts.
Our team participates in research projects through the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics and other departments.
Our patients have the opportunity to participate in clinical research trials dedicated to improving our understanding of fertility disorders and developing new treatments.
