UT Southwestern Medical Center’s Neurocritical Care Program specializes in treating patients with serious brain and central nervous system disorders caused by either traumatic injury or serious illness. Some of the conditions treated are:

• Brain or spinal cord injury
• Stroke
• Hemorrhage
• Brain swelling
• Seizures
• Brain tumors
• Meningitis
• Encephalitis
• Nerve and neuromuscular conditions that may cause life-threatening issues

These conditions require urgent attention, managed treatment and ongoing monitoring to prevent loss of function and maximize the possibility for recovery. UT Southwestern’s Neurocritical Care Program provides all of these, along with expert oversight and compassionate patient care.
