Our specialists are experts at accurately diagnosing the cause of hematuria (blood in the urine) and provide specialty care for common and uncommon causes of kidney disease, including nephrotic syndrome and genetic-based diseases.
With UT Southwestern’s leadership in clinical care and research activities, our specialists are able to provide the most up-to-date therapies available for acute and chronic kidney disease, including hemodialysis and ambulatory peritoneal dialysis. The full range of diagnostic and therapeutic techniques for the treatment of kidney disease is available within the UT Southwestern Medical Center campus.
UT Southwestern’s caring and compassionate specialists provide individualized attention and treatment plans designed to improve patients’ health and quality of life. Our General Nephrology Program is dedicated to excellence in patient care, research and education.
UT Southwestern also offers a clinical trials program that gives patients access to advanced therapies not available at other health-care facilities. Depending on their specific condition, patients may be eligible for treatments that show particular promise in treating kidney disease.
