UT Southwestern Medical Center offers comprehensive pulmonary rehabilitation services to not only manage a lung condition or disease, but also to help patients achieve a renewed quality of life. Our lung specialists provide rehabilitation programs that will enable patients to breathe more efficiently and improve their ability to exercise, as well as provide educational and caring support needed to more effectively treat respiratory conditions.
Tests and Exams

Treatment
Under the direction of a pulmonologist, our rehabilitation specialists provide a program designed to meet patients’ specific needs. Therapists will work with them in an attentive and compassionate manner to provide the assistance and instruction needed to resume the normal activities of daily life.
The pulmonary rehabilitation program provides a comprehensive team of specialists dedicated to improving a patient’s health and includes physicians, nurses, occupational and physical therapists, dietitians, psychologists and social workers.
