UT Southwestern research leads to new thinking about your risk for heart disease.

Increase Your Heart I.Q.

Finding the right cardiologist is a critical aspect of treating a patient’s heart condition. Patients want their cardiologist to have the expertise needed to effectively manage symptoms and help control risk factors for developing any complications related to the progression of heart disease.

Cardiologists at UT Southwestern Medical Center work in conjunction with the patient’s primary physician, to coordinate care and ensure continuity of care during diagnostic examinations, cardiovascular treatments, surgery, or post-treatment cardiac rehabilitation activities.

Whether patients have experienced a heart attack, heart failure, abnormal heart rhythms or have congenital heart disease, UT Southwestern’s physicians will work with primary physicians to arrange to have the right cardiologist available to treat their patients’ conditions and improve their health.

Our cardiologists have extensive experience treating the full spectrum of cardiovascular disease, and UT Southwestern is a major referral center for patients with the most complex heart conditions.

The patient's doctor may use our Online Provider Referral Form or call the UT Southwestern Patient and Physician Referral Service at 214-645-8300. In addition, patients may request appointments directly with UT Southwestern's cardiology program by using the online Request an Appointment form or by calling 214-645-8300.
