The ophthalmic surgeons in our Comprehensive Eye Care Program treat thousands of patients each year. They work together with UT Southwestern’s researchers to leverage the most effective medical technologies.

Comprehensive ophthalmologists medically and surgically treat a wide variety of eye disease with their broad scope of knowledge and experience. Many patients have multiple eye problems, which our physicians can treat for total eye health. In the event patients need further assistance, comprehensive ophthalmologists have immediate access to an array of ophthalmic subspecialists, or, if warranted, they can provide a timely referral to a neurologist or internist.
Patients in UT Southwestern’s clinical trials program receive therapies years before they become available to the public. Patients should ask their doctor if they are candidates for some of these groundbreaking therapies.
