The pituitary gland is a central element to the control of multiple endocrine functions, integrating signals from the brain and the remainder of the body and releasing hormones that regulate growth, adrenal function, gonadal function, thyroid function, and controlling the excretion of water by the kidneys.
Pituitary function can be altered by a host of processes, resulting in conditions in which some or all of the components of the pituitary are increased or deficient.
The UT Southwestern Pituitary Disease Clinic is focused on the diagnosis and treatment of patients with diseases that alter the function of the pituitary gland. Physicians in the Pituitary Disease Clinic work closely with providers in the departments of Neurosurgery, Interventional Radiology, and Radiation Oncology at UT Southwestern to tailor the best treatments for the care of each patient.
Patient are seen in the UT Southwestern Pituitary Disease Clinic by referral only. Please contact the clinic referral staff at 214-645-2800 to set up appointment.
