UT Southwestern’s Neuroendocrine/Thyroid Program is one of the leading centers in the U.S. for performing adrenalectomies using minimally invasive, laparoscopic surgery. Advantages of the laparoscopic technique include decreased postoperative pain, a shorter hospital stay, and a quicker return to normal activities. The average length of the hospital stay is two or three days compared to a week or more with a traditional, open surgical technique.

Our Neuroendocrine/Thyroid Program offers advanced care and treatment for neuroendocrine cancer, including carcinoid tumors, Merkel cell carcinoma and neuroendocrine carcinomas.
