Medallion Guest Suites
The Medallion Guest Suites are available for patients at UT Southwestern Medical Center to rest and recover from treatment or surgery. Located at the Outpatient Building on UT Southwestern's West Campus, the Medallion Guest Suites provide patients with the best care and personal attention from our experienced staff. Each room features a telephone, cable television, refrigerator and wireless access. Food service and beauty and massage services are also available to every patient. The Medallion Guest Suites are open all day Monday through Friday, beginning at 6:30 a.m. on Monday and closing at 3 p.m. on Friday.
On-Site Nursing
Postoperative on-site nursing is provided by UT Southwestern Home Health Care from noon on the day of surgery until 8 a.m. the morning after surgery. Extended hours of nursing service can be arranged for patients through UT Southwestern Home Health Care for an additional charge, or through their physician’s office.
Check In/Check Out
- Check In: 3 p.m. the day before the surgery.
- Check Out: 11 a.m. unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
Visiting Hours
Visitors are welcome from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Visits from friends or family members with colds, fever, coughs and sneezing are discouraged. Please limit visitors to one or two at a time and an adult must accompany children 12 and under.
Parking
- Guest Parking: Located in parking garage W-1, across Southwestern Medical Avenue (formerly Medical Center Drive) from the Outpatient Building.
- Valet parking: Located outside the main entrance of the Outpatient Building.
