SECC drive supports charities

UT Southwestern raised $386,722 during its annual State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC). Thanks to legislation that created the SECC in 1993, employees of state agencies, junior and community colleges, and universities throughout Texas can give to many of their favorite charities through this annual workplace campaign, which features the convenience of payroll deduction.

“In this difficult year for many folks, I’m proud of this effort by our employees to help others in the community,” said Dr. Gordon Green, Professor of Family and Community Medicine who led UT Southwestern’s SECC effort. “Once again it is clear that UT Southwestern cares. On behalf of the numerous individuals who will benefit from this generosity, I offer a heartfelt thanks to every member of campus who helped raise such a significant sum.”
