Big honor, small subject

Dr. Yongli Shan, a postdoctoral researcher in neuroscience in Dr. Joseph Takahashi’s laboratory, was recently awarded seventh place in Nikon’s Small World Photomicrography 2010 competition. Dr. Shan’s image, taken during previous research in China, showed endothelial cells attached to artificial microfibers.
