Stormy weather

When a tornado skipped up the Trinity River flatlands on Sept. 8, it never really came close to UT Southwestern. But the twister was visible from some places on campus, including the lab of Dr. Hui Zou, on the fifth floor of the Nancy B. and Jake L. Hamon Biomedical Research Building. From the windows of the lab, Martin Kucej, postdoctoral researcher in molecular biology, snapped this photo. In the foreground is the UT Southwestern School of Health Professions. The tornado caused considerable property damage in the industrial area near the intersection of Mockingbird Lane and Irving Boulevard.
