J. Glenn Forister
J. Glenn Forister has joined the faculty as an assistant professor of physician assistant studies in the UT Southwestern School of Health Professions. Mr. Forister earned a bachelor’s degree in physician assistant studies from UT Medical Branch at Galveston and a master’s from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He also holds a master’s degree in clinical investigation from the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio. Since 1990, Mr. Forister has worked as a physician assistant in numerous specialties, including acute care, orthopaedics and family practice. He also spent eight years as a physician assistant in the Army Reserve. Mr. Forister’s previous faculty appointment was with the PA program at the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio.
Linda Michalsky, Ph.D., has joined the faculty as an assistant professor of clinical nutrition. Her research interests include evaluation of nutrition education, nutrition in medical education, the prevention and treatment of chronic disease, and psychiatric care. A registered dietitian, Dr. Michalsky holds a master’s degree in nutrition and a Ph.D. in nutritional sciences from
UT Austin. She previously taught clinical nutrition to dietetic students and has worked as a dietitian in a family-practice residency program, cardiopulmonary program and in general patient care.
