Clinical Observership in Gynecology Oncology and Gynecology Pathology
This is a joint program for international physicians or physician scientists who are interested in visiting UTSW Medical Center to advance their career in gynecologic oncology. The program is jointly led by Dr. David Scott Miller, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Dr. Wenxin Zheng, Department of Pathology.
The program provides opportunities for international physicians to observe live surgery, participate in the surgical simulation training lab, learn surgical procedures by observing video DVD, attend gynecologic pathology sign-out, attend the gynecologic oncology tumor board, attend Simon Cancer Center conferences, and interact with the faculty in gynecology and pathology. In addition to the above mentioned, visitors may also have an opportunity to involve clinical oriented research in the field of gynecologic oncology.
A training period of one year or longer is preferred. Occasional exceptions for a shorter period may be offered.
