Defining the roles of endocytic accessory proteins in CME

Using in vitro biochemical assays, such as the reconstitution of vesicle release from SUPER templates, and in vivo approaches, including siRNA knockdown and rescue experiments coupled to quantitative total internal reflection fluorescence microscopy (TIR-FM) we are defining the function of EAPs and the hierarchy of molecular events that govern CCP maturation and CCV formation (Mettlen et al., MBoC, 2009; Ramachandran and Schmid, EMBO J, 2008; Antonescu et al., MBoC, 2011). This work is funded by NIH grants MH61345 and GM73165.
