James Cleo Thompson Bladder Cancer Research Fund established to support Dr. Raj's work

Oilman James Cleo Thompson Jr., who died of bladder cancer, has bequeathed $100,000 to Southwestern Medical Foundation to establish a fund for research into the deadly disease and to honor the physician whose skill and compassion he credited with prolonging his life. He died in 2010 at age 80, after three years with the disease.

The gift will create the James Cleo Thompson Bladder Cancer Research Fund and will support the work of Dr. Raj. Read more about the award in Perspectives, the foundation's magazine.
