Intracellular signaling complexes

To demonstrate the potential applications of our ChemiC-grid technology, we are using it to study biological complexes that are relatively small (150-300 kDa), low in abundance (fewer than 100 copies per cell), or assembled in specific conformational states.

We are studying recombinant Kv channels, and through collaborations are working on the protein complexes in the RIG-I/MAVS signaling pathway and the human telomerase holoenzyme. These studies will not only test the general usefulness of our ChemiC films, but also lead to new developments and optimization of our methods.
