Timea Hodics, M.D.
I am currently the director of the Stroke Recovery Program at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Before joining UT Southwestern, I was Medical Director of the stroke service at Georgetown University, where I received the Georgetown Caring Star-Commitment to Caring award and the Excellence in Teaching Medical Students award. I completed my residency and internship in neurology and cerebrovascular neurology at Georgetown.
I also completed a fellowship in cerebrovascular disorders at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard University with Louis Caplan, M.D.. I received my medical degree from Semmelweis University Medical School. I also studied neurophysiology in the laboratory of Leonardo Cohen at the National Institutes of Health.
Arun Alex, M.D.
I was born in Kerala, India and earned my M.D. from Kottayam Medical College-Mahatma Gandhi University. In 2008, I moved to the U.S. and joined UT Southwestern as a researcher in pulmonology and critical care. I then took a position with Dr. Hodics' lab in 2010.
I feel privileged to be part of a great team and I hope to make all of our challenging projects state of the art. After work, I enjoy time with family and following cricket and audiosancto series.
Bhim Upreti, M.D.
I earned my M.D. degree in Nepal and I am currently a research assistant in the lab of Dr. Hodics at UT Southwestern. I like very much to work with patients and to learn new things.
After work, I enjoy spending time with wife and children. I have a son and a daughter.
