Dr. Aylin Rodan

We are collaborating with Aylin Rodan,MD/PhD, who is an Assistant Professor in the Internal Medicine at the University of Utah. She is interested in ion transport in the kidney, and is fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster as a model organism to study ion transport processes relevant to human physiology. We are working together to study how WNKs are regulated and affect downstream processes in the malpighian tubule of drosphila.

Dr. Stas Shvartsman

We are collaborating with Stas Shvartsman, who is a Professor at Princeton University's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Dr. Shvartsman's lab addresses developing real understanding of complex dynamical signaling behaviors with a combination of experiments, theory, and computation. He is studying, amon other things, ERK signaling in drosphila blastoderms, generating very beautiful and compelling data on signaling changes in MEK based RASopathies. We are collaborating doing in vitro phosphorylation assays.
