Andrew Williams, working in the laboratory of Dr. Eric Olson, co-authored an article in the December 11th issue of Science entitled “MicroRNA-206 Delays ALS Progression and Promotes Regeneration of Neuromuscular Synapses in Mice.” Andrew recently completed his Ph.D. in Genetics and Development and co-authored this study with researchers from Harvard University. In a study available online December 1st and scheduled to appear in the January issue of The Journal of Clinical Investigation, Dr. Shinako Araki, co-lead author and postdoctoral scholar working in the laboratory of Dr. David Boothman in the Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center, identified a possible therapy target for aggressive cancer.
