Biography

Dr. Whitworth is from Central California and completed his neurosurgical residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He completed a clinical fellowship in Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery at Oregon Health and Science University. Dr. Whitworth was recruited to the faculty at UT Southwestern Medical Center where he is currently the Director of Functional and Stereotactic Neurosurgery. His specialties include neurosurgical treatment of pain, stereotactic and functional neurosurgery, surgical treatment of Trigeminal Neuralgia, treatment of Parkinson?s Disease and other movement disorders, and radiosurgery including the Gamma Knife and CyberKnife.
