Medical training at University of Texas Houston Medical Center. Masters of Public Health from University of Texas Houston School of Public Health. Residency in psychiatry at the University of Texas Shouthwestern Medical Center at Dallas. Clinical and research fellowship training at the University of Pennsylvania Center for Studies of Addiction. Extramural fellow in cognitive behavioral therapy at the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Research.
