Biography

Dr. Nwariaku joined the division in December 1998 as an assistant professor. He is currently associate professor and Vice-Chair in the Department of Surgery. He received his M.D. in Nigeria in 1987 and began his general surgery residency at UT Southwestern in July 1991. He served a two-year fellowship here from 1993 through 1995 and completed his residency in 1998. His area of expertise is in minimally-invasive endocrine surgery,specifically laparoscopic adrenalectomy,thyroid and parathyroid surgery and his focus is on continuing development of an endocrine surgical program at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
