Biography

Mark A. Lehrman received his BS in Biochemistry from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1977, and his PhD degree in Biochemistry from Duke University Medical Center in 1982. He is currently Professor of Pharmacology at UT Southwestern. His areas of research involve the structures, biosynthesis, functions, and disorders of mammalian glycoconjugates. He has served on the editorial boards of The Journal Of Biological Chemistry and of Glycobiology, was a member of the Pathobiochemistry Study Section (Center For Scientific Review, National Institutes Of Health), and is currently an Associate Editor for the journal Glycobiology.
