Dr. Xie is originally from China and received her initial medical training at Peking University Health Science Center (Beijing Medical University) in China. Drawn by the opportunity for the harmonious integration of clinical medicine, radiology, and pathology, she completed her internal medicine residency and transplant hepatology fellowship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Xie brings to UTSW a strong background in hepatology and medical education. She currently specializes in hepatocellular carcinoma, viral hepatitis, and general hepatology. Her clinical practice emphasizes patient and family-centered care. Dr. Xie’s interests outside of medicine include her family, music, painting, sports and the great outdoors.
