Biography
Karen Bradshaw, MD, is Medical Director of the Lowe Foundation Center for Women's Preventative Health Care and a member of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology’s Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
She received her medical degree and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and then went on to train as a fellow in reproductive endocrinology and infertility here. She joined the faculty at UT Southwestern in 1988 after practicing reproductive endocrinology at Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston.
Dr. Bradshaw holds the Helen J. and Robert S. and Diana K. and Richard C. Strauss Chair in Women’s Health and is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Professor of Surgery at UT Southwestern.
Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology as well as reproductive endocrinology and infertility, Dr. Bradshaw’s practice focuses on well-woman and preventative health care of the 40+ year-old woman. She treats disorders affecting the mature woman including menopausal symptoms, post-menopausal bleeding, hormone replacement therapy, mood disorders, and preventative treatment for bone loss.
Dr. Bradshaw is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and a member and past president of the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. A Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, she has written and lectured widely on the subjects of preventative women’s health care and minimally invasive surgery for women.
