Biography
Dr. Blau received her BS in Physical Therapy from the University of Florida, her MEd from the University of Rochester in 1972, and her PhD in Neuroscience and Cognition from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2002. Dr. Blau has been a practicing physical therapist for 38 years. She has specialized in rehabilitation for patients with vestibular dysfunction for the past 18 years in the Center for Auditory, Vestibular & Facial Nerve Disorders.
In her clinical practice at the Aston Ambulatory Care Center, Dr. Blau works with patients who have balance deficits, dizziness related to inner ear dysfunction, facial nerve disorders as well as many other physical therapy-related problems resulting from surgery of disease of the head and neck. Dr. Blau has given continuing education courses on topics such as:
- Balance Disorders
- Postural Instability in the Vestibular-Related Patient
- Clinical Management of the Dizzy Patient, specifically related to sensory organization problems.
